Six students from 17cÍøÒ³°æ’s School of Media and Journalism will soon be honored with significant scholarships for their work. Each student received a $5,000 scholarship in recognition of their academic achievement and commitment to the future of journalism and communications.

17cÍøÒ³°æ’s chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America welcomed 20 alumni and communication professionals back to campus for Communications Connection, a professional networking event. More than 40 students from discplines across the university came to network, get professional headshots taken and have their resumes reviewed by working professionals. 

Lauren Cohen, a senior journalism major from Twinsburg, Ohio, has already made an impact during her internship, producing many front-page stories for the Akron Beacon Journal and Signal Akron.
