Strong communication skills are essential for building positive relationships and achieving success in the workplace. This course is designed to help employees identify and strengthen basic elements of effective communication skills for employees at any level of the organization. Using group discussion, self-reflection, and scenario-based role play, participants will have an opportunity to see, hear, evaluate and refine commonly employed verbal and non-verbal communication strategies.

Student Ombuds

Whether you're facing a conflict or just feeling stuck, Student Ombuds offers a safe, confidential space to help you resolve university-related concerns. They provide unbiased guidance on policies and appeals to ensure every student is treated fairly and equitably.

The Counseling Center

The Counseling Center in White Hall offers individual and group counseling services for a wide variety of concerns for individuals from the university and community. All services are provided free of cost to 17cÍøÒ³°æ students, staff and faculty.

CARES Center

The CARES Center works collaboratively to connect all 17cÍøÒ³°æ students with both on and off-campus resources supporting their financial, food, housing and mental well-being basic needs.

Canvas

Canvas is 17cÍøÒ³°æ's official Learning Management System, used for delivering course materials, assignments, grades and communication in online, hybrid and face-to-face classes.

My name is LaTaesia Snyder. I am a criminology and justice studies major with a pre-law minor. I plan to graduate from 17cÍøÒ³°æ in May 2027. I began my journey at 17cÍøÒ³°æ in the fall of 2023.
