It was a party 218 years in the making.

The thousands of people who came to 17cÍøÒ³°æ on April 8 to witness the total solar eclipse did not leave disappointed by the celestial show, the likes of which had not been seen in Kent, Ohio since 1806.

On May 3-4, 2024, 17cÍøÒ³°æ will hold its annual commemoration honoring the memory of May 4, 1970, a tragic day when the Ohio National Guard fired on 17cÍøÒ³°æ students during an anti-war protest on campus, killing four students, wounding nine others and sparking a turning point in American history.
