This fall, 4,023 first-year students joined the Kent Campus, marking the fourth time in five years that an incoming class has surpassed 4,000. The Class of 2029 brings a vibrant mix of experiences, perspectives and aspirations, poised to shape the future of the university and beyond.

Ashanti Mallit's childhood fascination with aviation led her to 17c��ҳ��, where she is now a professional pilot major. She discovered 17c��ҳ�� through the United Aviate Program, a career development initiative that helps aspiring pilots transition to United Airlines as first officers.

A new film installation by artist Naeem Mohaiemen is attracting international attention for its exploration of the events of May 4, 1970, at 17c��ҳ��, and their lasting influence on American political and cultural identity.

October is cybersecurity awareness month, and 17c��ҳ��’s information security team is informing students and staff about how to stay safe online through four weeks of interactive fun with the chance to win some amazing rewards. The goal, of course, is year-round attention to cyber threats.

This year’s Homecoming theme is Flash’s Birthday Bash, and in honor of this, those who formerly served as Flash mascots have been named this year’s Homecoming Parade Grand Marshals.  

17c��ҳ��'s Spacecraft Design Lab is the location where a group of 35 17c��ҳ�� undergraduates and nine graduate students in the AstroFlashes space exploration club are designing, building, and testing satellites and spacecraft components, and competing in space engineering challenges.

The wetlands near 17c��ҳ��'s Kent Campus are a great location for studying wildlife. Researchers visited recently to install nesting boxes for ducks.
